New Forum and Knowledge Base

We realize that the old forum has quite a few helpful topics in it, but we were lacking a good way to produce articles on how to use FoxyPress, not to mention a few sign in problems and other various functionality that we disliked. We discovered TenderApp, and we’re giving it a spin! It allows for us to create knowledge base articles that are searchable, as well as the fact they can be recommended based on what you’re looking for in the forums.

We plan on updating this as much as possible to get all that is possible with FoxyPress into a documented area. We will try to import as many of the existing topics from the old forum as well. Thank you for being flexible with us through this transition. We’d love to hear your feedback on how the new forum works too and if we should keep it or not. Check it out here!

Status Management Enhancements

Thanks to Kirk Woller of MamaDoo Kids, we’ve been able to enhance our status management email templates to use the same legend that we created for product email templates. Basically you can customize your status emails with things like tracking number, products ordered, and much more. Read up on it on our new knowledge base, located here. We’ve given some basic instructions on how to create a status that sends out an automatic email.

User Portal Additions

In release 0.3.8, we added functionality to our API that allows you to grab your customer’s transactions and ultimately create an order history page. We’ve been able make this user area even better, thanks to Delgado Protocol, by adding affiliate stats API calls.

We’ve added these two pages to our FoxyPress Demo store as well. Please login to the admin with username demo and password demo, then you can view the following pages:

They have arrived….FoxyPress Themes! We’re extremely proud to present to you our first two FoxyPress themes. We’ve created a theme panel that allows you to control the look and feel of these themes with ease.  We are planning on updating all of the themes with new functionality as we can. The updates will be pushed to your installations automatically as well so you don’t have to re-install them. Both themes come with an integrated read-me section as well so you can get the help you need right from within the theme!

We’ve listed some of the features below so you know what to expect!

A Hot New Look: Both themes allows you to be a designer and customize the visual elements of your site, like the logo, favicon, background, fonts and colors.

Customizations Galore: Choose the home page slider category to feature the products you need. You can also modify the footer links and add HTML to this area to make it picture perfect.

Create Products with Ease: Create product categories and automatically get a page to house those products.  No more messing with code and custom fields!

We’ve released this patch to address a few critical items, as well as some that were just brought to our attention by users.  Please upgrade as soon as possible for best use of the plug-in.  Here are the release notes:

• * Bugfix: The datafeed was corrected so that the new feature to push orders automatically without syncing now works.
• * Bugfix: foxypress_Mail was not sending a subject unless SMTP was used. This has been corrected.
• * Update: New API method foxypress_GetUserTransactions was modified to allow for $type to be left blank so all orders can come through.
• * Update: FoxyPress User Portal Sample file updated. Download the example file here
