Watch the quick installation video below to see how quickly and easily FoxyPress can be setup in your WordPress site with our new FoxyPress wizard.

Here are some steps that you can follow along to if you decide to not use the wizard, or simply use them to get yourself started.  There are only a few steps necessary to complete the FoxyPress installation, but more advanced features are possible, so read on!

Step 1

After you’ve downloaded and activated FoxyPress in your WordPress site, go to the Manage Settings page of FoxyPress and enter your store domain that you will find on the FoxyCart store settings page.  Save your settings.

Step 2

You will want to copy your API key that is generated, right below your store domain, and copy this to your clipboard.  Go to the FoxyCart advanced settings and paste this in your API key box.  This will allow you to take advantage of the various datafeed options that FoxyPress will allow, such as inventory level management.

Step 3

Permalink settings should be anything but the default.  We use URL rewrites to give your product detail pages SEO friendly links, so you should do this for the rest of your site as well.

Step 4

Check your jQuery settings. Other plugins or your theme might already include jQuery in your wp_head() function.  If it does not, you will want to check the box in the FoxyPress Manage Settings page to ensure you have the adequate jQuery include necessary for FoxyPress and FoxyCart to function correctly.

Optional Information

There are some other advanced settings that you can enable, such as setting your inventory alert levels, or the max downloads per item on a global level, but we will cover those as necessary in other topics on the right.

This should get you started and setup to start selling your products in your WordPress site!  Make sure to check out the rest of the topics on the right, or contact us via email, live chat, or the forum for other questions.

Multi-site Installation

Installing FoxyPress is very similar to installing it on a regular WordPress site.  We will be posting a video shortly to show the differences, but follow our main guide above for now.  More is always in the works, so stay tuned for updates!
